The Maroon Band is pleased to offer a one of a kind leadership experience for all high school band student leaders on Saturday, May 11th at Ocean Springs High School. This “Student Leadership Day” is open to all high school section leaders, drum majors, drumline captains, auxiliary captains, and band officers.
The purpose of this event is to provide a “kick start” for high school band programs by sending their student leadership into the summer with the tools they need to help their programs be successful in the Fall 2024 marching season. Topics include developing individual leadership qualities, working as a leader within a large group setting (like a marching band), and goal setting. There will be some professional development workshops for directors as well.
